Unlike fierce Chinese warlords of yore, hordes of peaceful visitors from the Far East are expected to descend on hotels, resorts, casino cities, beaches, theme parks and other destinations in America this year. With China’s economy booming, people there are anxious to visit and spend money in a faraway land that has been a forbidden mystery to them for generations.

The U.S. government is easing the process even more this year, so that visitors can speed up the visa and other necessary steps to foreign visitors. After several years of declining business, the U.S. travel industry is happily gearing up for the invasion.

Hotels and resorts are linking up with travel agencies in China, as well as setting up their own offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and other major Chinese cities.

They’re also adjusting their menus to include selections of Chinese dishes, and putting up signage printed in Mandarin around their properties. Hotel managers and tour operators throughout the U.S. are educating their employees in the basics of Chinese language.
