The State Tourism Department in Beijing recently published a list of nine offenses that could get visitors kicked out of China. They are:

1. Interference with public transport facilities including planes, buses and boats
2. Damaging public facilities and public environments
3. Offending local customs or way of life
4. Damaging areas of historical relevance 5. Participation in gambling, pornography or drugs
6. Not following police instructions and participation in activities that will endanger yourself, others or other people's property
7. Damaging the natural environment and not following wildlife and nature protection rules
8. Breaking the regulations at a tourism attraction and severely disturbing tourism facilities
9. Any other unsavory acts as determined by the State Tourism Department
10. Attempting to leave China with a panda cub stuffed in your suitcase. OK, so we made up #10.
