Teen Brit completes memorable cruise Print

Painting of boat adrift

Did you read all about it? A 17-year-old British kid just returned after sailing 28,000 miles around the world. The cruise would have been very boring, but every day he did lifeboat drill, played deck shuffleboard, won at bingo, attended the stage show in the theater and lined up for midnight buffet. And all tips were included.

Just kidding, adding in all the activities we seniors enjoy through mere seven-day luxury cruises. Actually, Mike Perham did it all alone in his 50-foot sailboat for nine months. Amazingly, he was only 16 when he started his journey to sail around the world. Gee, when I was 16, my Dad wouldn’t even let me drive the car around the block!
