Tokyo, Japan: New Bullet Train May Soon Break Records

Designing and testing are now happening in Japan, China, USA and other parts of the world. In the not-too-distant future you’ll be able to travel by train from New York City to Los Angeles in one hour, and NYC to London thru an underwater tunnel in two hours! Of course, it could take you three hours in heavy traffic to drive the 20 miles from home to the busy downtown station before you can board your bullet train. www.usatoday.com/story/travel/news/2019/05/10/bullet-train-fastest-travel-prototype-testing-begins-japan

It may be years away, but aviation designer Charles Bombardier claims lightning-fast aircraft technology already exists. CNN reports that special engines, cabin design, oxygen fuel and other advancements will soon make the super-quick trip possible.

However, there are just a few minor problems that can’t be overcome by such futuristic flight schedules. It will still take passengers hours to get from home to the airport through jammed roadways. And then, another hour for frisking and fondling through security. And another hour for fliers to board, fight for overhead bag space, get into their seats and buckle up.
