Times Square, Manhattan NY: Beware Of Bare

Along with other sidewalk panhandlers dressed as Mickey, Minnie, Batman and Superman, tourists now have a new visual experience. Seek Senior Discounts Everywhere You Travel PDF Print E-mail

Remember the sad scene in Oliver Twist, where the poor orphan boy asks for more? Well, now that you’re all grown up and into your senior years, you should do the same. Many discounts and other savings are available to senior travelers who need only to ask for them.

You’re already taking advantage of senior discounts in restaurants, grocery stores, museums, sports events and  elsewhere. Therefore, when plans take you on the road, riding the rails, at sea and into the air, be sure to seek out and take advantage of all senior savings.

For example, Southwest and American Airlines offer discount tickets at certain times/dates to passengers age 65 and over. When you need to rent a car, Hertz gives a 10% discount.

For Amtrak, lower train travel rates apply to those age 62 and up. Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Lines have more favorable prices for passengers age 55 and up.

Next time you start planning to travel, be like Oliver Twist, and always ask for more ... senior discounts!
