On our day ashore, we visited St. Michael's, the local Russian Orthodox Church, the Sheet'ka Kwaan Naa Kahidi Community House, local schools and other popular destinations in and near the town of Sitka.

If you visit, bring your camera to capture the beautiful views of Sitka, including the nearby picturesque boat harbor and forests. The city has great fishing and excellent destinations for walk-in and window shoppers alike.

Visit Totem Park to see the impressive Native totem poles. See bald eagles and other birds at the Alaska Raptor Center, Alaska's foremost bald eagle hospital and educational center.
