Tips For Single Travelers Looking For Romance
First, stop trying to meet the love of your life on that big blinking box in front of you. Too many online singles claims, bios and pix are phony, anyhow. To mingle with single seniors, you have to lift your lonely butt off your chair and get into real-life action!

Q: I'm Ready To Try A Senior Singles Cruise PDF Print E-mail

I’m newly alone, and need to move on with my single life. Friends and family tell me the best way to start is sign on for a singles cruise. I’m a 60ish retired office manager and enjoy dancing. What’s your advice? RJDiC, Boca Raton FL

A: Senior singles cruises offer new experiences and chances to meet people your age. They feature social dances nightly and dance classes during the day. We suggest you book a cruise that sails after Labor Day, because they’re better bargains, and tend to attract retiree travelers.

Grand Canyon Adventure: Our Mule Ride That Never Was PDF Print E-mail

Guest Senior Correspondent ALR, Green Bay WI: We looked forward to the late summer experience as we arrived at Arizona’s Grand Canyon. Usually all hotel rooms, cabins and dorms are sold out weeks in advance throughout the entire Canyon area. We arrived to check in a day earlier than our reservation called for. We were lucky to be put up in a very basic dorm cabin with the communal bathroom down the hall.

The Canyon edge was only about 20 feet out the back door. If we’d been sleepwalkers, it could have been disastrous. Another mistake was that we’d just saunter over to the mule corral at the Bright Angel Trail bright and early the next morning and join the famous Canyon mule ride.

Senior Travelers: Keep In Constant Touch With Family PDF Print E-mail

Guest Senior Wanderer PLL, Milwaukee WI: Our son recently went on a business trip to China. His client firm paid for everything, including first class air tickets. Throughout the trip, we received many calls, and most exciting, digital photos and video as the events happened. We saw him lounging in his private comfy seat/bed on the plane. He posed with locals and Chinese soldiers in Beijing. He watched the sun rise from the Great Wall. He sent dining scenes from Hong Kong restaurants, including one on a sampan in the harbor.

Experience The Historic And Beautiful City Of Sarajevo PDF Print E-mail

Now capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo's history goes back to Roman times. Senior history buffs may associate it with the 1914 assassination there that within four years resulted in deaths of millions on World War I battlefields of Europe. Sarajevo today is a great European destination for many reasons.

Transportation: Sarajevo International Airport (SJJ) is served by international carriers. For example, roundtrip economy class fares on Turkish Airlines from the U.S., with service through Istanbul, are about $2,000.

San Francisco CA: Ya Gotta Experience Lombard Street PDF Print E-mail

Guest Senior Venturer YLH, Chicago IL: The one thought I always have when visiting that one crazy block of Lombard Street is: the people who live in these houses must be really tired of seeing hordes of climbing tourists. Worse, lines of creeping sightseeing cars jamming their street every hour of every day and night.

Actually the city's Lombard Street is not confined to this one block, but the famous spot is a one-way meander between Hyde and Leavenworth Streets. It features eight very sharp zigzags, and boasts "the crookedest street in the world". Of course, any Washington DC street where politicians roam is certainly much more crooked in theory, if not actuality.
